Shorts and tights done right.

Are you sick of the “it’s cold outside so I’m going to keep wearing jeans everyday” routine?  Try changing things up with a cute pair of shorts worn over tights or leggings.  A structured blazer grounds our printed navy shorts, and we’re loving this statement necklace by local designer, Seven Swans, to finish things off.  We also have these fab shorts in a light mint color-way (great with bare legs when the warm weather hits) and solid black.

To the Maxi!

It’s still very cold outside, but February is the month to start buying pieces for spring.  This navy and white dot-printed dress is a stellar bet to start off your spring 2012 wardrobe.  First of all, with that full skirt, fun print and adjustable spaghetti straps it’s amazing on its own.  But maxi dresses are great for maximizing your closet – especially in these last months of winter.  Layer-on leggings, long johns, knee-socks and sweaters to your heart’s content.  Some dresses are just season-less in that way.  Lucky you.

Go-to Cozy-Up Piece

A beautiful blouse.

You have to snatch-up a beautiful blouse like this one when you see it!  The embroidered floral motif is gorgeous, the pieced sleeve detail is so pretty, and the color looks great on nearly everyone.  Ark & Co’s sheer embroidered blouse pairs easily with dark jeans or shorts; even a breezy maxi skirt would work for dressier occasions.

Fruit Stripe Shorts
