About Minx

Rebeccah Barrett and Jessica Brommer opened Minx Boutique at 64 N. Lexington Avenue in Asheville, North Carolina in September of 2002 with the goals to clothe, adorn, empower and provide to the women of Asheville.  When Jessica moved to New York in 2005 to devote herself to her painting, Rebeccah became the sole owner and style maven of Minx.

Consistently voted “Best Women’s Clothing” by the readers of the Mountain Xpress for seven years running, Minx is grateful to have the opportunity to bring fun, affordable, stylish & unique clothing and accessories to a diverse community.

There’s something for everyone at Minx: from daughters to moms to grandmothers; from office workers to servers to school teachers; from the fashionistas to the fashion-challenged.  We even occasionally carry men’s wear, like graphic tees from Poketo and fabulous fedoras and straw hats from Christys Hats.  Check out the “Lines We Carry” page to get a taste of the Minx style.

Nice blog! My stylish and fabulous niece Cassidy recommended I check you out. Love your store manifesto…”clothe, adorn, empower, provide” … and how you don’t set age limits on style. Can’t wait to visit your store in person sometime soon.
